I have a samsung 48'' 6500 which i bought with a blank screen. Having fixed many of the 48h6400 with blank screens inc the 40'' models i was hoping this would be the same but ive tried the tcon, main board even the ps. Basically if i just plug in the power supply the screen lights up. Plugin the mainboard aswell screen lights up and i can hear sound still no pic. Plug in the tcon and then theres no backlights (weird) someone said this could be a screen fault but im not too sure any ideas

Re: Samsung ue48h6500 blank screen
Can we see the whole backside of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected together?
Try not having the ribbon cables between the T-CON and the panel connected (but the T-CON and the main board still connected) to see what happen.Never stop learning

Re: Samsung ue48h6500 blank screen
So let me see if I get this correctly:
1) If ALL the boards are connected together then you will NOT have backlights.
2) If you disconnect the cable (LVDS cable) between the T-CON and the main board then you are able to get the backlights to come on and stay on.
3) If you have the LVDS cable connected between the T-CON and the Main board but the ribbons cable between the T-CON and the LCD panel disconnected, then you can get backlights to come on and stay on.
If the number 3 is true then it seems to me that something is going on with the LCD panel.

by mrtekHi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...6 Photos

by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
by Daren87Hello everyone,
I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the... -

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -
by JunkmanJimboSamsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
Please help. Thanks in advance! - Loading...
