Sharp LC-70LE650U Will not turn on

Hey Gang,
I bought this one second hand but I am now thinking I got a dud. I've got an error code of 2 slow then 5 fast blinking lights on the stand by. I've checked to see if the main board is getting 5 volts and that checks out. I unplugged the tcon board and it now powers up. However if this is the case i've heard I may have a bad panel and not a bad tcon board? Any help in troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I did check those but they didn't seem to line up with my issue. However I was able to determine that it was a panel fault. Thanks for the response.

Hey,if your not gonna fix it or part it out,can i have it,or buy it(as long as you don't bust the screen)? I live not too far way..and I've been looking for one of those to experiment with!

BUT... what do you mean "panel fault"... a lot of these have panel faults ... BUT they can be saved by removing the drivers on the faulty side IF that is the type of panel fault you have... hence the question.
