No sound, no video, no clicking. One red LED on main board. No reaction to ON button from remote. It's like it's ON as long as 120 volts is applied to the set. I have all the proper voltages everywhere i.e. 5.2, 17, VS=204.5, VA= 55. I have proper voltage to both sustain boards. C802 on SMPS is not bulging nor deformed, but it is Black in color. I have ordered a replacement for C802.

When I disconnected LVDS and jumped EXT AUTO GEN, I got the correct red, green, blue, horiz and vert test patterns. I take this to mean the main board is the cause of the malady here?Attached Files -

Well after a week of looking for a main board..I gave up and sent mine in to PTS Electronics..$150..EBT61875108..made out of the element Unobtainium!

I have a question regarding this laptop. Laptop came from my friend, completely dead. No reaction for power button, Adpater etc. Diagnosis: burned HIS mostfet from VRAMs. After replacing the mosfet, Laptop starts to power up, KB lights up for few second and switch off, laptop remain ON but no display. Vents are switching ON after some time. No Caps Lock or reaction on USB stick. No display also through HDMI. I've got an ASRock B450 Steel Legend that I'm trying to diagnose for no reaction to the power button.
The SIO receives the PWRBTN# signal and sends PSOUT#, but the CPU doesn't return SLP_S3# so nothing further happens. I have been looking around the board trying to figure out why and I happened to touch the STEP-DOWN CONVERTER NB685GQ-Z (UP10 in photo) which was VERY hot (like burn your finger). This seems to provide VDDP_S5, and indirectly, VDDCR_SOC_S5, which the CPU needs in order to handle the startup signals.
The VCC voltage powering the converter does not look right.... -
I've got an MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 that has no reaction to the power button. I have been doing some exploration to try to determine what is wrong with it.
The front panel PSIN# pin has 3.3V on it, so i started tracing from there to the SIO, which is a Nuvoton NCT6687D. Connectivity from the front panel PSIN# to pin 61 on the SIO is good and when I short PSIN# to GND then pin 61 goes low as it should.
However, I noticed that SIO pin 61 PSOUT# was already low, even before I activated PSIN#. Does this mean the SIO chip is hosed or could there be another explanation? I'm... -

MEC1653-BA1 pulled VCC3M down to 60ohm, replaced it, programmed with vertyanov, no reaction to on/off button and not charging now.
Noticed that VSYS_OUT is 9.18V, had a opportunity to compare on UMA T480, it was 10.2V, no ideas if DGPU T480 should have same VSYS_OUT.
