Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding this laptop. Laptop came from my friend, completely dead. No reaction for power button, Adpater etc. Diagnosis: burned HIS mostfet from VRAMs. After replacing the mosfet, Laptop starts to power up, KB lights up for few second and switch off, laptop remain ON but no display. Vents are switching ON after some time. No Caps Lock or reaction on USB stick. No display also through HDMI. All coils resistance seems to be OK except resistance on VRAMs – 15 Ohm ( as I study the other repairs or diagnostic of that laptop it should be around 90 - 120 ohm) and probably on GPU – 0,5 Ohm but here is always very low.
Laptop spec:
MB: NM-D562 REV2.0
CPU Ryzen 7
GPU: RTX 3060
BIOS : gkcn65ww
Resistance on the GPU:
- VRAM coils: 14,8 Ohm
- GPU: 0,5 Ohm (where internal resistance of the probs is around 0,2 ohm)
Now main question is it possible to switch OFF the dGPU and run this laptop on the integrated GPU in Ryzen ? Like it is possible with RTX with Intel on board ? I really wants to confirm if the CPU is good before I will try to replace the GPU so I need any proof that CPU is OK. I am also looking to confirm if the GPU is proper dead
There are some cases that GPU survived such mosfet failure and still works OK but its unlikely . .
I cannot check what is the current consumption cause my power supply and the adapter ends is not recognize properly and laptop doesn't power up. Problem with Adapter ID.
All tests done on the org. adapter and battery is OK as well. Laptop charges battery.
I made that steps in troubleshooting of this MB after removing the main failure (Vram mosfet):
If you need any additional information please feel free to ask.
Thank you in advance,

I made that steps in troubleshooting of this MB after removing the main failure (Vram mosfet):
- Lift all coils up from GPU and VRAMs – same behavior
- Removing all Vrams and try to power up – same behavior. Now resistance on the Vram coils is 30 Ohm.
- Adding one VRAM chip (good one) – same behavior
- Flashing new BIOS from Lenovo website – same behavior
If you need any additional information please feel free to ask.
Thank you in advance,
