Panasonic Viera TH50PX500 Black Upper Right Quadrant and Pixelation

    Hi guys,

So my tv got wet and wouldn't turn on (I left a window open during a typhoon). I was getting the seven blinks and I changed out the SC board. The picture now comes on but there's a black square in the upper right. It's about a quarter of the tv. I reseated the ribbon connectors and now there are two vertical bars with colors (purple, yellow, reg, magenta) in that black quadrant.

The rest of the TV is pixelated and has a pinkinsh hue in many places. Images also burn into the tv quickly.

Now, I'm worried that if I replace the C buffers, I'll just find that the Y sustain board is bad too and then whatever is next down the line. Any thoughts on whether it's worth repairing? I don't have a multimeter and am not trained...but I used to fix my PC. I'm a software engineer, not hardware. But could learn some basic stuff and it might be worth it just to tinker. I just don't want to sink too much money into it.

    Attached are pics.

    You have Two faults...

The noisy/grainy picture is prob a sustain fault, the missing picture chunk either address problems on the C boards, the Control-Board, Mainboard or the panel itself...

Thanks for the prompt response Alastair, really appreciated. So seems like I'll go with a Z board replacement since I just replaced the Y board?

As for the top right black chunk, I'm hopeful that the problems are C board related as that is where the water entered from the rain. Is there any way to tell for sure before replacing these parts?
