    Wharfedale lcd42f1080p

Could someone please help with this tv. I was given it yesterday as it wouldn't turn on. When I turn it on the blue power light flashes but nothing on screen so with a little research I opened it up to find 2 bulging caps so went out this morning to maplins where I bought all new caps and changed them all and yet the fault still exists. Any help would be much appriciated as I don't want to spend any more money on it if it's not going to fix the issue. All the caps I replaced was replaced for the very same value caps. I double checked all my soldering but nothing changed. It's been bugging me all day.

We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back (in the same orientation) and close up of connectors, using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply also if you can let us know the board numbers used in the tv.
Maplin capacitors although may work tempory they wont last long as only general purpose capacitors and also esr on capacitors does matter i tend too use panasonic fc fm fr series (which have low esr) capacitors alot for my repairs there are other makes you can also use.

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Samsung LS19A100, slowed down, colors changed, lines not very crisp
            by panoss
In the above mentioned monitor, I removed the plug a few times and this resulted no power.
I opened it, soldered the dc jack and worked again.
But since then colors have changed, too bright (or something like this) and lines, eg letter, are not very crisp as they used to be, they are vague, like faded out.
I checked voltages on the main board, they look ok (according to the service manual. It' attached at the bottom):
            IC600 (D9329)
            pin 1 (BST) 9.6V
            pin 2 (VIN) 13.5V
            pin 3 (SW(Switching output)) 4.8V
            pin 7 (EN)
            pin 8 (SS) 2.6V

            IC601...

            Hello Friends,

            Greetings!

I have taken this active subwoofer from Wharfedale for restoration. This is already in a bad shape as far as the connections goes. It has already been worked by local technicians. The most important part that I am looking forward is the schematic diagram, as there is jumper placed and a track has been cut, as if to bypass the actual connection. I am not sure if this is by design or someone has tried something to achieve.

Another thing is the TDA7294 was badly treated with its legs cut and it had a crack too, so I have replaced it...

Dell Latitude 7420, 7320 voltage changed
            by Ferimonka
            Hi there,

I got 2 Dell laptops with a locked bios (dell management protection).
When I sent the dumps to this forum I got unlocked .bin files.

The issue I am getting the voltage on the bios chip pins has changed once I soldered the chip back (with the unlocked even original bios file) and doesn't turn on anymore.

Before I started to re-program the chip the voltage on the pins were 3.3V almost on each pin. Once I soldered the chip, voltage changed to 1.9V or 1.3V on few pins. No 3.3V anymore.

I appreciate any help to get me this...
