Panasonic TH-P50ST30A - standby LED goes out

Panasonic TH-P50ST30A - standby LED goes out.

This is the one I did the Sc and SS board a while ago and only just starting using it fulltime for the last month.

Working well, good image but it has a very unusual quirk.

There's a few variations but this is what it doses.

    1. standby LED extinguishes, turn the main switch off at the front, you can hear the relays relax. Cycle the button, red stdby LED returns, use remote to turn on, green flashing and running.

    2. standby LED is lit, hit remote, starts blinking green then after a couple of seconds extinguishes. cycle front button, relays relax, red stdby LED returns, and remote on and she's running.

Have not tried any fault finding on it yet, will wait until it gets really bad but throwing this one out there in case anyone has come across anything like it.

I don't recall reading anything but I am expecting this to be a main board issue.

should point out this is random but seems to occur if it's left in standby a long time

Re: Panasonic TH-P50ST30A - standby LED goes out

Have not done much on this since but I did swap over a couple of ICs for the standby cct from another PSU with no change. Anyway an opportunity to get a spare A-board presented and put that in because I was thinking A-board.

Sadly, after only being in standby a relatively short while I went to wake it up and it went to start but suddenly the relays collapsed and the led went out. To fix this the main power button needed to be cycled and then it was working again.

So it appears it's a P board issue. very weird.

Not sure, this is for a ST50, but it sounds like yours

Thanks, I'll check it out and see if there's anything similar about the circuits. It's unusual and hard to nail because it varies in time and somewhat random. Never turns off hilst running, it's just if it's been sitting in standby.

If turned off by the front switch, and on it never fails. Only waking up from standby.

Early days but the schematic in the tech bulletin is very similar to the part of the cct I just had to replace a FET for no standby, no relay clicks.

So it may be in this area I should look.

            cheers

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
              by BobbyMJ
              Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

              My questions:

              Is that correct, 93k ohms?
              Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Panasonic SA-PM71SD Micro HiFi - not comming out of standby
              by Nevillet
              Hi All,

I have the above mini HiFi that after powering displays the standby LED and when the power switch is pressed the relay momentarily clicks in then cuts out again.

I've included an image of the power board schematic.

There is 5.9V present on pin 4 of CN507 and when the standby button is pressed 2.6V momentarily appears on pin2 of the same connector.

              Any thoughts would be welcome.

Panasonic TH-55FX600 - No standby LED
              by Xrious
Got a TH-55FX600 that is showing no signs of life.

Outputs from the P board look good, but no 12V on the A board.

Very similar to https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...3e-identidy-ic but where Tibd has 3.3v on the EN pin I have nothing, no voltage at all.

Looking at the diagram for the IC I can see the enable is W_OPCTRL9, but I can't find a source for this, can anyone help please?

I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.
