Samsung ps42q96hd Panel replacment

Just a little over three months ago I brought a Samsung ps42q96hd from an auction, It had a small crack in the screen but not enough damaged to effect the picture.

After about two months I started to get black lines coming from the damaged area going across horizontally on the screen, now it has finally opened up and the screen Is dead just a strobe effect with a burnt image on the screen.

Now I have access to another model of the TV It's a Samsung ps42q97hd with the clicking issue.

So would I be able to use the plasma panel from the ps42q97hd, to use in the ps42q96hd.

Any help would be great, Will

Yes you can use them panels even if the Sus boards are different they work

The reason why the black lins form is because the gases for them rows have leaked out meaning that the Sus boards can not longer scan the rows because they are not completed.

Im not sure they will be interchangeable but i might be wrong so ill wait until someone else joins in
why dont you fix the Q97 ?

plus i think i have a few screens spare all working just been stripped down Q96 AND Q97

Also the Q97 is an easy fix probably just broken solder joints or some bad caps ! The power supplies are the same though so just swap them out.

Honestly trust the 16 Y/O haha seriously though I have servied alot of them and dont a few mods so to speak lol
