Re: Vizio TV E3D420VX, No picture, power led on+blink 1time+V logo shown=>turn off
OK, I can see that the PS-ON is gone when the backlighs and the Power LED go out.
'P11 PSON 67.1mV 2.84V -> 67.1mV'
So some how the main board just stops sending out the command signal (the BL-ON (ON/OFF) and DIM are also gone). So it is main board problem or something sends the signal to tell the main board for the TV to turn off.
You may want to try disconnecting all other boards that are connected to the main board one at a time to see if the PS-ON will stay present. I wonder the control panel switch is doing this or the IR board. It acts like some one turn off the TV
BTW, so the TV never stays on long enough for you to see the Video or sound?
History of this TV?

DELTA DPS-198BP (Vizio 0500-0407-1030)
We need the dcv reading on the connector CN201 AFTER the lights go out.
Make sure to put down pin names of each pin follow by the DCV reading.

Pictures provided by shopjimmy.
It has CN201 voltage check, LDO test result, STEPDOWN, and Power MOSFET result. (lt looks fine)
I did visual inspection after taking these board off.
I didn't see any faulty part on power supply & main board both. (leak, swallowed CAP or burn part)Last edited by djju; 12-18-2015, 06:06 PM.Leave a comment:

Hi, I have a Vizio TV E3D420VX and it has symptom as below:
1. When I press power button, backlight on, power white light on and Vizio V logo is on the screen
2. Logo goes off, power white light blink one time.
3. Power goes off by itself and doesn't come up
4. Same symptom in every time when I press power button.
Is it an exactly same symptom as you?
Can it be solved by replacing the power board?
Or, do I have to replace the main board??Tags: None

by Joe24Have a Gigabyte 2070 Super with some bonkers power draw readings. Card runs fine, other than some GPU throttling because of the power numbers. But GPU power always reads too high, more than the power reading for the entire card. And VRAM power always reads way too low, along with PCIe and 6-pin power readings. The 8-pin reading seems plausible.
Typical readout while running 720p Furmark, 8x AA:
GPU clock: 1590 MHz
Mem clock: 1750 MHz
GPU temp: 58.8 °C
Hot spot: 71.8 °C
Fan speed: 33% / 1000 rpm
Mem used: 454 MB
GPU load: 97%

by usbdeviceHi all
There's two other threads about this monitor with seemingly the same problem. The problem was resolved in one case by replacing the entire PSU board and in the second one by replacing an unknown IC.

The first one has pictures of the pcbs and I noticed that there's one IC and assorted caps not populated on mine (but the PCB itself looks identical) so I thought that'd warrant a new thread.
It's my dad's old monitor. He...-

by zlr8rhey guys, hoping for some pointers to repair an eBay bought "faulty" laptop.
Ill try and give as much info as I can.
Dell Inspiron 17 (7786) Laptop
Service Tag: 5J0NHT2
Bios: 1.9.0
When I received this , it would only flicker on the KB backlight for a second, then off and on.
Then it started getting weirder!
Sometimes when attaching the AC power supply, and pressing various pre-boot diagnostic keyboard keys... it did try to boot, in fact out of a hundred attempts, the laptop did actually boot into the Bios ! but never has... -
by x_orange90_xI have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

by proxneoDear reader
TL;DR: iPad not turning on, A10 and power IC become (very) warm when attempted to turn on but this power-on cycle has a 'cooldown' period wherein powering on doesn't work, does not take more than 0.5A charge.
I am working on an iPad 7th generation 2197 from >2019 with no / limited charging and no boot issues. It is a refurbished purchase made in 2021. It appears the 'refurbish' company has either done prior motherboard work (all protective component shield layers are gone) or is one of the many trash refurbish companies (little screen adhesive left, component... - Loading...
