    Sony: Kdl-32bx300

    Hi. I have this SONY that comes on when I plugged it into the 120Vac. I get good audio and video but no remote control function. I opened it up and saw no visible evidence of bad components, all voltages were good and steady Backlight voltage good. Disconnected the Control Bd and TV came on as when it was connected. So I ruled out the Control Bd and PSU. I cut the Power ON wire on the PSU and measured a constant 3.67Vdc out of the Main Bd-Power ON output to the PSU.
    Should I just go ahead and replace the Main Bd: T930/T940 1P-009CJ00-4010? I can't find any components ICs or Regs that were short circuited. I can get a used Main Bd pretty reasonably priced.
    What do you think??

      I think Norcal715 has a video on the 26" version on this set, the fault was with some leaky ceramic caps on the button board. Unhook it and see what happens.

          Thanks Pal. I tried that and got the same result. Sorry if I misled before. When I said Control Bd it was actually the circuits with the power, Menu,Ch up/down and Vol up/down board I meant.

              Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

              Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
              Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
              CN6401
              Pin 01 NC
              Pin 02 NC
              Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
              Pin 04 "N/C"
              Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
              Pin 06 "GND": N/C
              Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

              Sony HCD-HX80R Amplifier Volume Control Problem

              I have a strange fault on a Sony amplifier. The volume control varies the display from MIN, then 1 up to 30 and then MAX as expected. At MIN there is no sound. However, at 1 it is quite loud and increasing above 1 does not change the sound level.

              I have tried a Cold Reset as per the service manual.

              I have looked at the I2C clock and data to volume control chip IC501 (BD3499FV). Data is only sent to IC501 when the volume is set to MIN or 1. At any other setting no data is sent to IC501.

              I have looked all the way through the service manual and tried many online...

              I have SONY KD-55AF9. Mainboard MAIN-BM3-1-983-356-11 with defekt EMMC.
              I wanted to buy new EMMC and Flash the firmaware on it. Does anyone have the firmware for this TV. I would be really grateful.

              Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?

              I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
              Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

              I believe Chip 2 is BIN is the main one as it contained the Windows product key, marked with XXXXX for now.

              SN: PF3G1REP
              MODEL: 20KW-00J1AU

              PROBLEM: Turns on blank screen, charging circuitry motherboard looks good. I have tried another firmware here - but resulted in 5V will not go to 20v due to different PD firmware I believe - using the current firmware it does go to 20V.

              Requesting a firmware clean/BIOS region cleaned. Here is output from ME Analyzer:
