When turning it on sometimes the picture is ok then after some time of it running all the lines start to slowly appear till the whole screen is full of the white lines. This happens with nothing plugged into the set so with no sources. While this is happening the TV still responds to remote and button commands. the lines change positions and also sometimes move. Trying to figure out if this is a Panel, TCON or Mainboard issue any ideas anyone? screenshots attached.

Re: LG 65UF8500 4K 3D LED Problem Tom66 or anyone else please help
This is looking like a fault in the panel. The fact that the lines slowly show up tells me that a tab fault is occurring in accordance to the heat that it takes for them and the led strips to light up.
Also have a look at your tcon board. Try to reseat all cables. Could be a bad connection on one of the LVDS cables going into the tcon.
Is there still a warranty on this tv?Did I leave the soldering iron on?

next try disconnecting one of the tcon cables (going to the panel not other cards) and leaving it disconnected. turn on the tv, does this change anything. Try repeating the process with others (how many are there on this tv).

Re: LG 65UF8500 4K 3D LED Problem Tom66 or anyone else please help
Hi guys just wanted to let everyone in here know that I went ahead and ordered the TCON for this one and it fixed the issue. TV has been going for a few months now. Glad I took the chance because I was almost throwing away a $5,000 TV set over a $80 TCON board. I hope this info could help someone else with the same issue with this model that's why i'm posting the result.
Thanks for everyone's help with this one.

Just saw this post,
LOOK AT HIS PICTURES THE MENU WAS UNAFFECTED BY THE LINES IN PICTURE 4. BAD TAB BONDING WOULD AFFECT THE MENU.
Menu unaffected = bad main or bad T-con
Bad LVDS in my experience usually affects the menu. Anyone have any experience with this they want to share?
