Further, have you read and digested what shopjimmy has been telling you that you MUST DO. There are specific instructions on how to reload your board. Try them... there might be a "miracle" here, if not, you have lost nothing but maybe gained some useful future knowledge.

PS. I suspect your panel IS NOT 600D3LB4N... :-)

if my panel is not 600D3LB4N then i would have no clue what to do since there is no other panel listed for my tv as far as compatible boards..........the original board that came with the tv matches exactly part number on white sticker the 2 replacement boards i bought though.........

I don't think you understand. Shopjimmy isn't telling you that you have a 600d3lb4n panel, they are saying the card is used on a 600d3lb4n panel.... BUT that's doesn't mean it can't be used with other panels. Again, carefully read the shopjimmy information associated with your card. You will likely find your solution.

                    Power on the TV.
Insert the USB storage device containing the update file into USB port located on the side panel of the TV.
Note: The USB storage device can only be inserted into the USB port slot one way.
                    TV USB Ports
On the TV remote control, press the "HOME" button to open the TV Home Menu.
On the remote control, use the arrows Arrows to select the Settings icon Settings, and then press the EXECUTE Button EXECUTE Button.
Use the arrows to highlight the Setup icon Product Support Icon, and then press the EXECUTE Button EXECUTE Button.
Use the arrows to highlight "Software Update", and then press the EXECUTE Button EXECUTE Button.
Use the arrows to highlight "USB", and then press the EXECUTE Button EXECUTE Button.
A series of different messages will appear on the TV set. Please follow the on screen instructions.
During the update the PIC OFF/TIMER indicator slowly blinks amber and the STANDBY indicator is red. After several minutes, the "System update complete" message displays and the TV will automatically turn on to complete the update.
                    TV Indicator Lights

CAUTION: During the firmware installation process, do not remove the USB device, turn off the TV, or disconnect the TV from the power supply.
After the firmware update is finished and the TV powers on, it is safe to remove the USB device from the TV.
You may delete the update file from the USB device, or reformat the USB device.

The update process is now complete.

:-) ah... but I don't think you read all the GOOD information on the shopjimmy page (great resource also)

                        AND I QUOTE

"After changing the mainboard I had a problem, the picture and the menu for the TV were upside down. to solve it have to go into the sony service menu and change the panel model for my TV and problem solved .. thanks for the help SJ when I called."

:-) I think you may just need to find out your specific panel ID ... maybe BUT as I indicated, there may be things that get set during a "install/reload" that characterized your set for the load... if you skip that step, you may be leaving your self open to other problems.

if you look at my service menu i think it has a model identification as well as panel identification

and i think the model may say kdl-60ex645....its very hard to see but i think thats what it says

The on scree does look like '60ex645'

and to me if u really just look at the overall outline of the model # in the service menu it appears to be kdl-60ex645 more than it looks like kdl-46ex645

yes it appears that way.....would that have anything to do with the solarization ??

i know the upside down issue could be from that since someone posted on shop jimmy that he changed boards and upside down screen and fixed it by changing the info in service meneu for correct model....and his model used same board mine does it was an ex645 series

                                          but he didnt have solarzation

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                                            by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                                            Hi all.

I started a thread while back regarding TV power supply standby circuitry as it is something I am not quite on top of.
SMPS theory and function is becoming more familiar, however the standby part is still a bit of a mystery.

Anyway, a friend has this TV with the above mentioned power supply board which has no standby voltage, nor any other voltages leaving the board.
The mains AC comes in fine, gets filtered and rectified with power is on the main filter cap as well as the transformer and drain pins of the ICE3B0665J, but that's it.
                                            ...

                                            Hello,

I am trying to re-purpose this power supply that I saved years ago from a tv with a cracked screen for a monitor but that is not really that relevent at the moment. I do not recall which tv but a google search looks like it is from Wharfedale LTF37K1.

You may notice I made some alterations moving some components to the top and some wires which are from a 5v regulator I fitted to the 12v output as the monitor requires 5v. The standby was already at fault from the beginning, it has nothing to do with the alterations...

Hello forum. I've recently been given a Yamaha TSX 120 DAB radio and ipod dock. Its working well however when put on standby its using 6.3 watts. The manual states less than 1 watt on standby. I measured this with a plug in monitor which seems accurate with other items. In use it uses around 7.5 watts. Firstly has anyone who owns a similar radio also got a plug in monitor to check if this is normal with this unit? In the first half a second the monitor shows 0.3 watts which I suspect is what it should use but something is switching it to be almost fully powered. I've searched the manual for eco...
