Vizio XVT473SV: Need help with part number U33

My TV has the no video/image but powers on. I understand the common problem is the U33 conductor on the main board, after reading this in may other forum posts. I ordered the U33 part from Digi-keys (Mfg P/N LD1117ASTR; Description IC REG LDO POS 1A ADJ); however this appears to be a different type of voltage regulator as the one I removed from the board is 8 pins, while the replacement from Digi-keys is 4 (3 on one side and 1 big pin on the other).

Does someone know the U33 part number on the Vizio 47 inch XVT473SV?

U33 on one main board of different model of the TV will not be the same U33 as used in your TV.
Do you have backlights. What DCV do you get on the connector of the power supply board that goes to the main board, and what DCV do you get on the command signals PS-ON, BL-ON, DIM?
You need to do basic Voltages check first.

No backlight, but I am a newbie at this and was hoping for a quick fix that even a novice with limited knowledge can fix. Thanks for the reply but that is way out of my skill set.

Looks like i will need a new tv as there is no way to ensure that buying a new main board is the problem.

      Appreciate your response.

Thanks for the info on the U33 chip; I have nothing to lose so will give this a shot. That replacement main board would have been great if I didn't already remove the original U33 chip from the board.

We tried to make out the original writting on the chip, but the solder did make it hard to see (i was able to make out M461).

I can't find the G5692 for sale anywhere online. Anyone have any ideas of where to obtain this chip (U33)?

U33 doesn't control the back light on this main board. re-solder the U33 chip back on to the board

I no longer have the old chip, as one of the pins broke off during removal. If I can't buy a replacement U33, then I am afraid I need to scrap the TV as I am not sure if it's worth replacing the main board ($130) when I am not 100% certain that it is the issue

No picture on the LCD screen could also be the PC board (T-CON).

you can check each fuse on that board for voltages. You will need a multi-meter.

Make sure there is voltages on both end of each fuses. F4 should be +5volts and F1 should be +12 volts
