Re: Vizio XVT473SV: Need help with part number U33
I no longer have the old chip, as one of the pins broke off during removal. If I can't buy a replacement U33, then I am afraid I need to scrap the TV as I am not sure if it's worth replacing the main board ($130) when I am not 100% certain that it is the issue

Re: Vizio XVT473SV: Need help with part number U33
Thanks for the info on the U33 chip; I have nothing to lose so will give this a shot. That replacement main board would have been great if I didn't already remove the original U33 chip from the board.
We tried to make out the original writting on the chip, but the solder did make it hard to see (i was able to make out M461).

Re: Vizio XVT473SV: Need help with part number U33
No backlight, but I am a newbie at this and was hoping for a quick fix that even a novice with limited knowledge can fix. Thanks for the reply but that is way out of my skill set.
Looks like i will need a new tv as there is no way to ensure that buying a new main board is the problem.
Appreciate your response.

Vizio XVT473SV: Need help with part number U33
My TV has the no video/image but powers on. I understand the common problem is the U33 conductor on the main board, after reading this in may other forum posts. I ordered the U33 part from Digi-keys (Mfg P/N LD1117ASTR; Description IC REG LDO POS 1A ADJ); however this appears to be a different type of voltage regulator as the one I removed from the board is 8 pins, while the replacement from Digi-keys is 4 (3 on one side and 1 big pin on the other).
Does someone know the U33 part number on the Vizio 47 inch XVT473SV?
