    LG LED TV Diffuser

I took apart this LED tv to test the LED strips and now I can't remember what order these parts go in. There are 3 sheets, one looks reflective and metallic, the other 2 are plastic. See pic below. I need to know which way these go in.

I will be striping a 42LA660V later this week. I know it does not have the same type back light, yours being multi strip and the LA model being edge- lite, but would think the sheet placement would be the same maybe?. so if no one comes up with a better plan I will tell you when i strip the set Flocko

          Re: LG LED TV Diffuser

I have the white spot issue where the plastic reflector has fallen off of the LED. Since my TV is out of warranty, I disassembled it to glue the fallen reflectors back into place. Unfortunately, I did not note what order and orientation the hard plastic and 3 flexible diffuser sheets go in for re-assembly. What is the correct order? I know the hard plastic goes first, but does the smooth side or the textured side face the reflectors? After that, which sheets go in which order? Thank you!

Plastic stand offs for backlight diffuser
            by geo86
            Hi,

Does anyone know where to buy plastic stand offs for backlight diffuser, mainly for Vestel TVs?

They are extremely brittle and almost always they break into pieces.

I looked on internet but little success.

            Thank you!...

            generic diffuser?
            by linuxrunner
i have a 65" samsung UN65TU700DFXZA. my kid sprayed cooking oil from a spray/mist bottle onto the screen (2yr old thinking she was cleaning). oil ran down and seeped under the bezel on the bottom of the screen. It appears to have soaked/wicked into the diffuser i have a light colored splotch along the bottom of the screen that grew upwards over a day or two.

i have not disassembled yet but judging by the way it wicked up it looks like its been absorbed into the diffuser so i don't have a lot of hope of cleaning it.

i checked Samsung parts site but they don't...

            clean hisense inner sheets
            by Raulnn
Can you clean the internal sheets of a tv? I have a 58-inch TV and I don't know if it's worth cleaning the sheets. I have seen that it has dirt on the sheets and the leds are blown. I don't know if they look good when you clean the sheets. Thanks in advance.

Post your Samsung NU model series backlight failures and diffuser melt-downs here!
            by DXseekerMO
So I started this thread for all of us TV fixers to post our Samsung NU model series backlight failure and resulting main diffuser melt-downs. Please do post pictures!

Either Samsung needs to recall these TVs for this problem or provide owners with updated parts that will not repeat the same failure!

            I will start:

Samsung UN40NU7100FXZA, left-side backlights failed, left side of main diffuser and reflector sheet behind it melted in the shape of the LEDs below it. Picture #1 and 2 below.

            Samsung UN65NU7100FXZA, left-side backlights failed,...

            Samsung UE49NU7100K melted diffuser
            by mrsith
            Hi,

I have seen some threads that touched this subject, but none of them actually answered the question I have in my mind.

I've bought a 'not working' Samsung UE49NU7100K, which turned out to be working but with no backlights. I did not bother to do any PSU measurings as TV itself is working, was pretty sure a single LED has burned out.
After disassembling I was surprised to see edge-lit backlight and the diffuser which was cracked and melted in many, many places, almost like every single LED has burned it. Most of the LEDs look burned out by the way, which made...
