At least we know that the DN3 Master inverter is OK.
I am trying to remeber how to test the DN4 Slave inverter to see if it is working or not.

OK, on the D3N Master inverter, remove the power connector CN6600 but have all other cables connected. If D4N is working you should see the backlights flash for seconds.

I removed the connector CN6600 and I do get the screen flash and I can see the BRAVIA symbol very clearly so I guess its not the D4N inverter.

So both inverters are putting out.
BTW, you also see the BRAVIA clearly when D4N is not connected, right?

You may have the lamp/s problem at this point but I expect you to get 13-blink balancer error because if one or more lamps are not staying on, it will cause an imbalance in the balancer board which then will generate Balancer error signal.
The LD (Lamp Detect) is the error signal for indicating bad lamp condition, >11VDC = Good.
I sure hate to take the panel apart. So for sure you never see 13-blink?

Ok I found that BRAVIA was much brighter when CN6600 on DN3 board is removed. here are pics of screen with D3N removed and then D4N removed. I never saw 13 blink.

It should have about the same brightness, the Master/Slave inverter setup is like a push-pull topology due to the Lamps are very long so they have to use two inverters driven out of phase, both of them have to putout the same amount of high Voltage, so it looks like the D3N is not putting the same high Voltage as the D4N.
If you look at the inverter transformer driver circuits of the D3N and D4N, they are exactly the same.
You may want to check out the cap C6616 on the D3N board to see if it still show 1uF or if it has any sign of damage.
You may also try the resistance comparison reading of the high Voltage winding of the inverter transformers, they should have the same readings.

I tested C6616 and it measures 1.04UF so its good. in your honest opinion, how likely is it that it is a lamp/panel issue.

I do not think you have bad lamp/s problem due to the fact that the two inverters do not drive the at the same level.
Yo may want to check the inverter transformer high Voltage winding to how close they are to each other, both inverter use the same transformer P/N and the drive circuit.
The inverter boards are not that expensive, I worry more about taking the panel apart and taking a chance on damaging the screen.
