This is a standard defect. You check the capacitors in the sub-module front Board t-con.

Is the sub-module board underneath the tcon? I have the same issue.

Also try heating the Mainboard to see if that affects the issue had alot of issues with bad solder joints out of them Mainboards.

I'll try that first. If nothing then it's the board underneath the t-con?

The Tcon is the board that the Lvds connects to.

I did, however, replaced few swollen caps on the PSU.

Instead try heating the board Maklaud refers to, and power on to see if video is better, if so it is that board that need recapping.

If you/he means the board underneath the tcon, then I have heated it up to beyond melting point but same issue.

How can I test those caps while in circuit?

a good esr meter, dick smith , peak and a few others sell them but they aren't cheap. a real timesaver on electrolytic caps.i like the peak for the fact it has a discharge function and a display of value and esr.

                        Hi, this is the most common problem in this TV model. The problem is the two smd capacitors 100uf in the board between the t-con and signal board (C403 & C398). The capacitors are both in the bottom right of the board. Just replace these capacitors and the problem is solved. Do not buy this board in second hand because this problem is very common and the second hand board will fail after some time (the original capacitors of this board are very bad). {found it on internet was posted by DiogoADR i fixed mine that way same syptoms,hopefully someone else will find it usefull although its very old post}

Just wanted to say a big thank you. Replaced those exact caps and my TV is working fine again (8 months after the repair! ).

Personally speaking I have found far more failed capacitors than the two mentioned capacitors on the EBR50556301 UP CONVERTER TCON BOARD. This is the board directly below the TCON board. I replaced around ten of the 100uF smd capacitors from this board after identifying them using a peak ESR70!
Don't be too surprised if it goes again

                              Hello!
I have been trying to solve this issue the past 12 months to no avail. I have been a lurker here during that time but finally decided to post my problem and see if anybody knows a solution.

                              Problem
My tv (OLED55CXPUA) has an issue where it displays horizonal lines of dotted artifacts.

                              (See Attachment 1)

                              Self Diagnosing
After a very long troubleshooting period I traced the issue to the T-Con board. If I gently flexed/bend the board I could make the display go from GOOD to BAD and vice versa. I have ruled out the connectors/wires...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                              Assuming...

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

                              ASUS VA27EHE randomly unstable

Hello community. I've got an ASUS VA27EHE with a Panda LC270lf1l01 panel that started to behave strangely. A bit of intro:
If you power on the monitor without any inputs it turns on, displays the ASUS logo, shows no signal and goes into standby normally. When you plug it via HDMI sometimes and more recently, most of the times, it distorts the bios logo with horizontal lines, then when loading into windows 50-50 the windows emblem also is in horizontal lines. And after the system loads it almost always works properly, lol. On some rare occasions a part in the top of the monitor is being distorted...
