JLC37BC3000 strange issue with mainboard replacement

Ok so I have a jvc that had all the symptoms of a bad main, turns on shows jvc logo and then blank screen with backlights on but unresponsive to any buttons. Order a new main and exact same symptoms. Seller agrees it's most likely the main and ships out a new one. Install and almost identical symptoms.

Still shows jvc logo and goes to black screen, however I noticed if I hit channel up or down the right before it shuts down it will respond with a delay. It's almost like when your PC memory is full and lags out. Is this symptomatic of a second bad main? Or should I be suspecting power issue? Any help is appreciated as I really would like to get it fixed but haven't a clue where to start testing.

Sounds like a bad main to me. Search shopjimmy for that board - sometimes when a particular board is nearly impossible to find it's because they all have the defect that makes them disappear.

Damn, that's the same conclusion I came to. I was just hoping not as both boards I got from the seller did the same thing. Is there some special procedure to initialize LG mains after replacement?

Try heating up the main with a hair dryer for 30 seconds and then power on. If your symptoms change you will know for sure where the problem lies and even if you can do something about it.

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
          by Asraf Atb
          Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

75pfl5604/f7 Main board replacement RGB issue
          by EazyBone
Hey y'all, got a 75pfl5604/f7 that was DOA and I diagnosed this to be a main board issue. There was no indicator light, etc etc.

Ordered a new one (maybe used) from torres TV parts and installed it. Now the screen cycles the RGB colors only. Hit power and that's only thing that happens. Which is good/bad because it shows the panel/PSU/tcon are running well lol.

Anyone know what the deal is and how to get it out of this loop??...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

PS4 controller left stick potentiometer replacement issue
          by ezenia
          Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct section, but I have a PS4 controller that I am trying to fix. It developed stick drift on the left stick and the usual simpler methods did not fix the problem.

So I went on eBay and ordered some replacement potentiometers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174967976757 is where I got them from.

I took the green potentiometers off the replacement sticks and soldered them onto the PCB. Assembled the controller and ran some tests. The drifting was somewhat fixed (not fully in center, but way better than before). However,...

Samsung DM32D – Red LED blinks 5 times, won’t start (possible mainboard issue)
          by Nairolf
          Hello,

          I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
          1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
          2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
          3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...
