Samsung UE39F550 dead no sound or picture

]Asking for help please, got a Samsung UE39F5500AK LED TV about 15 months old so out of warranty, when powering up front red led flashes 5 times then goes off, this happens several times, led light flashes in response to buttons pressed on remote , no sound or screen activity at all
Quick check inside at power board nothing obvious and caps look ok, I do not have en esr tester, when testing powerboard for output voltages they all look to be there.
I am now stuck any ideas anyone where I should be looking now, all help will be appreciated, thanks

If you unplug the main board do the backlights come on?

YES backlight came on, is that good or bad

Well it depends how cheap a new mainboard is!?

However, It might just be a corrupt EEPROM or bad solder under the processor.

What's the board number for the mainboard?

The means the power supply and the backlights are OK, the main board is not sending the command signals to the power supply board.
Try disconnecting the cable to the T-CON board and reconnect the cable between power supply and the main board then see what happen.

Bad mainboard.

Seems like quite an uncommon board.
Quite expensive, I can only find one being sold my emos for £45.

You could try a reflow of the board first.

is it possible to reset the eeprom by maybe shorting a leg of the eeprom and force it to reset when powering up

Not on this model I'm afraid.
You'd need to get a preprogrammed one, but I can't find anyone selling them.

or is it possible to download firmware on to a usb drive, power up with usb in and update blind, or am I talking stupid

If it is, buy it from them through ebay cause their site charges £5 postage, whereas it's free postage on ebay.

hi No that is not it, spoken to lcd-plasma-parts they tell me it will not fit and board numbers must match exactly, my board is a BN94-06785F, have now spent several hours searching for this board, not found one, if anyone has one or knows where I may get one

thanks for that the lcd plasma parts board is the correct board but is out of stock
samsungersatzteile is way way to expensive at 170 euros, nearly buy a new tv for that
