    Sharp LC-70LE757U Obsure screen defect.

    Hey all!

I probably already know the answer to my question but here it goes anyway.

I got this for the price of a big mac meal, came with the remote and 2 pairs of 3D glasses, the panel comes on and work but the picture looks like a bad V-sync like an old CRT screen, the picture doesn't roll but the black lines/defects do, also the picture is dim and flickers the LEDS are fine when the screen is on black no flicker at all, only when a signal or menu is up or open.

I got into the SM and found the test patterns there was 5 options only 3 were available and none had any information on what was being tested so I assume it was Main board, FRC and T-con. All of them failed.

I have yet to take it a part, its bigger then my work bench so I need to find a safe place to lay it down or prop it up.

Such a bummer if its a bad screen, this was the top of the line Sharp and not very old as the unit only had 3400 hours on it.

    Thanks all!

So, I took the back off and fooled around with the t-con TFT ribbon cabled and I unplugged the right side and slowly set the clip on the t-con down to pinch the ribbon in the screen for a second or 2 goes back to normal and then after that the gamma/picture go back to that you see above.

I almost wonder if the t-con is failing and the screen is fine, the SHARP logo when turning the unit on looks as it should then the strange gamma flicker starts.

Debating on taking a gamble, would be a nice LED TV to save lol it's massive!

I don't see any ghosting when the tv is displaying a moving picture, this panel is strange there is a TFT board on the left and right side of the panel too.

Sad ending, I was checking the bottom side tft boards and one of the speakers slipped off its pegs and landed on top of the LED/power supply and it put the TV into SOS mode, after I removed the speaker I plugged it back in and now no LED illuminate. The panel is on I can see the image with a flashlight.

Oh well gonna button in back up and recycle it.

One last update, I tuned the panel back on and after a few min of bring on the LEDS turned on no picture, turned it off and back on LEDS and picture then after a few min the LEDS shut down again.

Don't feel too bad, it's a bad panel anyway. These big Sharp sets are failing in large numbers. LE7xx and LE8xx to be avoided.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
            by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
            by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

            Sharp LC-65Q620U White Screen
            by EazyBone
            Another TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.

The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.

Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?...

Samsung UN50NU7400 - No Picture (but boot screen and screensaver)
            by arbitarytwist
Have a Samsung UN50NU7400 which shows a boot screen and a screen saver if left on long enough but no picture ?

Would a moving screen saver confirm that the panel is ok or it could still be a panel issue ?

Packard Bell Kayfo, no picture on screen.
            by nasdaa
Hello, I need your help for a failure on a laptop:

            It's a Packard Bell Kayf0, motherboard LA-5021P, Rev 1.0 with graphic issue.

I received this pc because it was turning on but not displaying anything, the fans are running normally and all chipsets heat up on startup but no picture on screen, no backlight either. I noticed that ENAVDD and ENVDD are not present and that there is no LCDVDD on the connector. I didn't check the screen because, maybe I'm wrong, but if there aren't these signals, even if the screen is good, it can't display anything? I tried heating the...
