Toshiba 40D1333B - Flashing Power Light

Normally this sort of thing is caused by a transistor but I am rubbish at testing these things. The power board model is: 17PW07-2

I have de-soldered all transistors but how to test these if one of them is the fault? I have followed few youtube videos but I feel all tested ok. No swollen caps BTW and board looks clean and ok.

Need P/N of the actual devices you want to test if you want to know how

Does your Power Board have any other numbers? Like FSPxxx-xFSxx or 75033153?

Placing my bets on another LED backlight failure here.
Just look at a few other threads on this issue.
            Such a common fault now.

              Sorry for late reply.

Where is the led driver? On the psu or main board?

I have reflashed bios but same issue.

It is the actual LED's that fail not the drivers

If so I have disconnected the cable from the psu and same issue. Same issue.

The PSU will shut down if the load on the LED's are wrong... WIth a failed LED it = the wrong load and shuts down.... With the LED's not connected again its the wrong load = Shut down

You are joking!! So basically this tv going in the bin? No way to repair the LED driver?

Its not the LED driver, Its the actual LED's in the set

You can attempt to disassemble the panel and use a string of diodes in place of the bad LED

Flashing power light normally indicates Firmware failure, I have seen the leds fail countless number of times in these sets but they never caused the symptoms described. I bet its mainboard.

I wanted to give that a go but the firmware on the toshiba's website dont work or should i say i dont know how to manually flash their bios. Its a .bin file but when flashed, the tv wont turn on; no lights no nothing. If i reflashed with original bios then i get flashing green/red light.

Hmm what panel does the tv use if its the samsung lta400hm23 I have a spare main board for it that I will be selling on ebay soon, you cant just use any 17mb95s as the firmware is tied to the type panel.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
                                          by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

Working on a hp x360 15-eb1043dx that will not turn on and the power light just flashes. It pulls 700ma when flashing. Under the thermocam I found a component I am unable to id that light up. If someone can help would be appreciated. I put the number that are on it in better test....

un65tu7000fxza - Flashing Red Power Light
                                          by stephonwhyte
un65tu7000fxza - I am experiencing the flashing red light on the power led. So I purchased the replacement kit for the mainboard and power supply. I still experienced the flash red power light. So I purchased a new ribbon cable, The flashing light stopped for a minute, I could hear sounds on the TV but no picture. I did the 60 second reset and it went back to flashing. What could possibly be the issue now? All the LEDs are lit up from what I can see.

                                          Thanks for all responses.
