I registered a long time ago, finally got time to post some info on a TV I a having problems with. The TV is an LG 55LH40-UA that when turned on will show a picture for like 2 seconds then cut out then shows again for a couple of seconds, then same things, til eventually it turns off. The LED light on the front of the TV will change from blue to red (red when its off). Opened it up and no bad caps, plus the previous owner replaced the power board thinking that would solve the issue but the same issues are there. I am not sure where to go from here, as most all other TV's I have fixed have been bad caps and they are back up and going. I have tried to find information using the search of what the issue could be and am coming up empty. I did read about the Y SUSTAIN board but this part is all new to me. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes LCD, read some more after I posted
I had to leave so I will get some voltage readings tonight
On my way out I snapped a picture of the inverter, which is the only thing visually that stands out. It looks like some cold solder joints.Comment

Re: LG 55LH40-UA Wont stay on
No those are the readings when it's lit up. There was a time a few months ago I tried to see if it was working and it actually stayed on for like 30 second. But now it's just back to off/on/off/on to complety off. It just keeps doing that cycle.Comment

The main thing we want to see when ALL the boards are connected is what Voltages are on the pin when the screen goes black.Never stop learning

by zklgfsHi,
I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...-

by sam_sam_samThis started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours
After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup
The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old
Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by ChIck3nSo I've had this monitor for probably a decade now, and it's finally starting to fail. Began with a little sporadic flickering, then eventually started going black (power LED stays blue, can still see image on screen with flashlight). A power on/off fixes it for a bit, but then it happens again. Once it got to the point I was dealing with this every few minutes, I opened it up and just replaced all the caps (minus the big one) on the power board with new Panasonic ones. All the old caps tested fine on an ESR meter, and this worked for 5 days. But the screen just went black again today, so...7 Photos
