Vizio E601i-A3 - Green vertical line on screen.

I have a single green vertical line running from top to bottom on a Vizio E601i-A3 TV. The line is only 1 pixel wide.

Before I spend money on a new TCON that I may not need, is there a surefire way to tell if it's the panel that is broken or if it is TCON that is broken?

Hello this sounds like a bad lcd screen that needs a tab bond repair. Could you take pictures please ?

A single pixel line is always a bad panel (sometimes it is a tab failure - but I have never succeeded at repairing single pixel line tab failures)

I have had some success with tab bond repairs but some its hard to preform, my mate Soltys says its as easy as cap repairs it surely isn't easy preforming tab bond repairs and the success rate is little to non.

My success rate is 50% for temporary repair, 25% for permanent repair. I only repair 26" Chimei panels as I've seen them last a while... the rest, I can't trust...

I have around 50% success rate overall, although I hate doing tab bonds as most of the time you have to redo and add more foam or what ever your using to secure the tab even more, basically a nightmare alot of the time.

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
              by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

              Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

              Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

VIZIO M60-C3 Can the vertical line be fixed?
              by tmhobadcap
I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help....

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
              by cubytus
              Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

My Father called me he has a Vizio E60-c3 that's probably 3-4-5 years old but it has a thin blue line running down the center of the screen (photo) I tried a couple things but I'm sure one of you all have seen this already. Been a while since I've been here hope all is well. Thank you in advance....
