    I had a sony in yesterday with bad tab bonds, Think the model number was kdl37-v5810, I did the fix using a cut up inner tube as shims to apply pressure to ic on the tabs and its working fine still,

    After all that time waiting for it to upload i get this... Upload Failed! Invalid code. Please try again.....

                        Thanks for the video. I'll try one the next time I can and see if it is more exciting. Looks like the Va resistors just popped on yours as soon as the ICs shorted... Its interesting you only got what looks to be one vertical line... kinda surprised that you didn't get more, so I still wonder what leads these plasma address ICs to occasionally fail with one stuck line... I have always thought heat and random failure...

                            I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
                            I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

                            never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.

                            Hello,

                            First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

                            I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

                            I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

                            I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

                            I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

                            The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

                            hi guy my friend gives me this tv a 50tu8070u that has no picture at all, sound ok, backlights ok. i tought it was a bad panel, but the tv has many horizzontal lines green, i tried with the tape method but nothing change, only the green lines disappear but still no picture. You that have more good than me, do you think it s a panel or can be the main board, because my friend wants buy a new main board....but the tv respond to the remote control, have sound only no picture so i think it s a panel problem that is so broken that i cant fix with tape...or i wrong if someone can help me thanks, i give...

                            I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

                            I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
