Greetings, a little back story replaced the caps after a failure a little over a year ago now there seems to be something new going wrong. When first powering up the set I get at first a ghosting effect in the back ground with a slight pixalition of red on some areas, this goes to a green pixalition on black areas, this varies in degrees of picture noise for the first thirty minutes or so before clearing up. I suspect the t-con board but wonder if something could be going on with my original repair. On powering up I do hear a click and the red led light flashs three time prior to coming on. I am new to this forum and to troubleshooting lcd televisions, so please bear with me, any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: samsung ln52a550p3fxza picture issues
That looks like an AS15 IC has gone bad on your tcon board. If your not fluent in pcb board repair order a new tcon board for the tv. This is the small board at the top center of the tv. Connects to the panel. If you have a volt meter we c an help you take.some readings to confirmLast edited by freakaftr8; 01-18-2015, 07:28 PM.Did I leave the soldering iron on? -

No. You would still see a menu. If the as15 fails badly you would probably have an all white picture.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: samsung ln52a550p3fxza picture issues
Tracked down a replacement T-con board, installed friday and wow, better picture then before the failure. FYI, double check the cables, prior to buttoning up or better yet power up unit if possible before putting the back cover on. I had a cable ever so slightly work out of its slot. Repair took less then an hour thanks for the helpComment

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds

- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
