Hey guys, I have this LCD and it's working fine. The only issue I have is that when I turn the set off, I can hear a slight hiss that doesn't go away. It doesn't bother me, I can barely hear it, but my daughter says it drives her crazy. Any ideas on this? I picked up the set about a year ago, thanks to you folks, I got it going, it had a shorted diode. I just started watching it and it really does seem fine, just wondering if this is something I should be pro-active on. I appreciate any and all advice!

by GraphicManas the title says, i noticed a faint noise/hiss when there is nothing playing that i dont think i have had with this unit before ever, i have not changed its location
what makes it more weird, this noise is gone almost completely if my hand gets within 5cm or less close to it (close to the panel)!!
out of curiosity what does that mean?
thanks-

by dicky96Hi. My wife has this problem on her phone.
She can make calls and accept calls but she can't hear the caller and they can't hear her.
The ringtone plays fine so the speaker is working.
However we have discovered that if she answers a call and presses Speaker Phone she can then hear the caller (through the normal earpiece not the speaker) and the caller can hear herl. What is causing this problem?
As its my wife's phone I will have zero credibility if I can't fix it lol -
So I think I may have buggered something up.
The video on this set was working, but the VCR did not work (it would attempt to read the tape, then eject it). I was thinking I could clean the mode switch on the VCR board and reassemble—I was able to do that and get it reassembled, but now cannot get anything to display (and additionally the VCR is not loading tapes properly, so I suspect I didn't get the mode switch oriented correctly when I reassembled it, but I will revisit that later).
I can see the filament glow when I power the set on, and audio seems to be working...5 Photos -
by jayjr1105Need some .6mm solder. I gave what was left of my cheap 63/37 to a friend who needed some. Stumbled on this brand. I figured "made in Japan" it must be half decent but it doesn't give flux percentage or flux type unless you can read japanese maybe. Anyone hear of it before? As long as it has 2% flux it pretty much checks every box for me. 63/37, .6mm, 2% or more flux....
