Right power supply for Panasonic P50XT50Y?

    Hi Guys

I have a ongoing thread with the repair of my Panasonic P50XT50Y 50" TVs
power supply. The screening on the board says B159-201, but the sticker
    next to is says B159-204 B53 N0AE6jk00006 REV. E1

How do I find a power supply to replace it, if I can't fix the present one?
I ask because there's this one on ebay right now:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Panasonic-Sa...:X:RTQ:US:1123

    Would that work?

    Thanks,

    Nicholas

We tend to advise follow the sticker info.
Also I am wondering if the ebay guy has the wrong header on his ad - be interesting to know what it says on his sticker - ask him?
If you google N0AB6JK00001 everyone else seems to have a different board with heatsinks vertical?
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Shopjimmy have 368 of the power boards in stock, but they are pricey. Wonder where they got so many boards from

Don't forget this is also the SS board . If the shopjimmy picture is an accurate example of yours and we don't know because we can't see yours then there is a difference with that large inductor coil.

That's part of the SS section suggesting the panel in the Sanyo is different.

It would work, just don't know how that affects anything but the boards are matched to the panel.

The other thing to watch, not uncommon to have a seller have the correct part number but wrong photo. I have sent several messages now to sellers pointing out they have it wrong.

All that info matches up except the photo and with 97.4% feedback I'd be wary.

Also, the 50" and 42" have different positions for the panel connectors, probably also different power outputs.

You're right. I think he has the wrong picture on his auction.

Thanks for the link to shopjimmy. Is he well-known? Shipping from the US to Denmark,
            it had better work

By the way, are these boards multi-voltage? Will they accept both 120V and 220V?
That's pretty important if I were to get a board from the US

Possibly, if the part numbers match up exactly then it's the same. I have plugged in a US PSU here with 240 and it worked. Bit of an assumption on my part .

Why are'nt you trying just replacing that stdby IC?

Those boards will most likely be brand new pulled from damaged in transit TVs. He ships global and it's fast but expensive shipping. About a week door to door in Australia. They may have a cheaper shipping option now which would take longer I expect.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                  by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                  After all of...

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
                  by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...
