Sanyo LCD-42E30FA shuts down after 30 minutes

    Hi Guys,
Sanyo LCD-42E30FA chassis No SSA42UT-00 powers up normally when cold. After 30 minutes of running, noticed picture and sound lost and buttons not responding (no remote so cant test) Slight repeated "chirping" noise noticed. Pulled back cover, nothing obviously noticed so powered up and ran again. Now it wont fail (after and hour anyway). 5 volt, 12 volt and 24 volt rails are good. I am suspecting a heat soak problem with the back on.

    Any thoughts?

    Regards

Recapped the power supply and that sort of fixed the fails after 30 minutes...... Now it wont start at all !!!!! I am having a great day (NOT). All voltages are there (5V, 12V and 24V), Back lights are lit and the only button that does anything is the power button.
    Any clues ??

    Thanks guys

    Rob

There should be 2 fuses on main board. Your pic is fuzzy so I cant see where clearly. 1 for 5v and 1 for 12v, check too see they have volts on both ends.

There have been a few main boards lately failing from bad voltage regulators or like my 32" vizio from a bad dc/dc converter.

Tried a few more things today. Measured all the voltage reg outputs on the main board and all seam good. What was interesting is the TV worked for a while after I had disturbed the board. Pulled the main board, gave it a gentle twist and reinstalled. TV then worked for about 2 minutes. I am wondering if the CPU had unbonded itself. Have seen this on Xbox units, any thoughts people??

Ok, another update on this unit. Was running another TV on external antenna so did not have it connected to this unit. Powered up and after 20 seconds or so, the "no signal" icon shows up on the screen and does its normal thing of wandering around. The interesting thing now is that the unit has been running like this for 2 hours, looks quite normal, until I plug in the antenna. Now what it looks like is when the TV is receiving free to air signal( only digital here in Aus), about 30 seconds later, it locks up. Lose picture and sound and needs to be switched off and then back on to reset. Will be trying it on other video sources shortly to see if the fault is the same. Any clues?

Did you end up repairing this?

I'd try a firmware update/reapply if possible, can sometimes help when mainboard is acting up.

                FUNAI/SANYO FW55D25F Shuts Down Randomly
                by Michale32086
I have Sanyo 55" TV that randomly shuts off..

Sometimes it will stay on for 5mins or so, sometimes it shuts off after a min or two...

When it DOES stay on, it works fine...

All things being equal, would it be more likely a POWER Board issue or a MAIN Board issue???

                Thanx in advance......

external hd Seagate, broken down the +12 volt and USB 3.0 SATA board
                by gabri2211
                Hi to all 😎
I'm looking for any useful information to repair this interface (I have attached the image).
On this board I read E3215-1215A_4D.
This is the small plate inside the HD enclosure that allows to connect a 12 volt power supply, interface the disk with a USB 3.0 socket and is connected to the HD with the SATA connector.

If any of you have found a burnt or short-circuited component in a circuit like mine, if you have useful diagrams for the repair, or even better a description for the tests at the test points, I would be very grateful.
                in particular...

Hp Pavilion 15-ab062nl gets hot and shutdown in some situation
                by resistor83
hello everyone, I have a HP Pavilion 15-ab062nl laptop with a complete shutdown problem

I state that the problem is neither the SSD disk (new) nor the ram that I changed with various modules.

A few days ago I formatted this laptop with windows 11 and during the installation (more or less from 30% to 50%) the laptop shuts down completely. Keeping the laptop open I notice that the copper heat sink is quite hot and therefore I change thermal paste with an artic MX-4
I try again to format and now the laptop turns off but towards 60 70%. I leave it all night to...

hi all, I have a problem with my macbook pro 15 inch, late 2011 with SSD, AMD Radeon HD 6770M dedicated video card and Intel HD 3000 integrated card.

I use the computer occasionally at home and a few weeks ago I noticed that the battery was charging very slowly, I changed the power supply with a new original one and the problem remains. I also changed the battery to a compatible one and the problem persists. Now for a few days I have also noticed that the computer after a few minutes from starting it jerks and becomes very slow. However, this problem arises in several ways:

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
