Vizio E470VA- Need advice on PC Board

Hi guys! My name is Sam. I've been lurking here on badcaps for a while now finally couldn't find an answer to a question I've been having.

First of all, my experience level is fairly low. I've been building my own PC's for about 10 years, and recently started to repair capacitors on power supply's of LCD's I own/pickup as a way to learn more about TV and LCD repair.

Recently I picked up a Vizio E470VA off of craigslist.

When I power on the TV, the vizio bezel light will turn on and the backlight will glow while the screen will remain black. The previous owner claims that the sound still works, however I haven't been able to figure out how to test that without know what input it's on.

All my symptoms appear to be the same as this thread. From that thread and what else I have read on this forum and the interwebs, it would appear that the problem is most likely the PC Board. Unfortunately I have been unable to find the exact part. The current PC Board part number is TQAPT5K00901. Every place I find that has it is out of stock. Ebay however has multiple Vizio E470VA PC Boards, but their part number is TQAPT5K00301. The parts look significantly different even though their numbers are only different by 1 digit.

My question is- Do you think this different PC Board for the same TV model number may still be be compatible? If not, do I have any other options? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would not risk it doesnt look as if there are fixing positions for an alternative board
and perhaps it has different sockets for the ribbon cables. Perhaps they used different panels as well

Too bad that the OP of that thread on the link never post the follow-up on the repair.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
        by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Faulty ASUS X99-PRO board. Some progress with repair. Need advice\help please.
        by jimbodriver
        Hi everyone,
I am trying to learn electronics repair. I purchased a “faulty for spares/repairs” ASUS X99-PRO/ USB 3.1 motherboard for a very low price from ebay – a good enough price to offset the high probability that the board was completely toast and not realistically repairable.
        Initial results:
Board would power-cycle when turned on either with switch on board or shorting pwr pins. Fan would spin for a second or so and a QCODE of 00 would display then it would power off and then do the same thing again over and over. I think maybe 2 times in about 100 attempts...

Need advice testing a samsung power supply board with scope
        by repair-it
I am attempting to test a samsung power supply board to verify the pfc ic is working. I am powering up the board with my isolation transformer. The board turns on fine but when I attempt to connect the ground for the scope probe, it trips out the isolator. I was taught not to 'float my scope' so I am wondering if I should test without connecting the ground lead or would that be asking for trouble? Not sure how else to test, I don't have a portable scope. I could plug direct to mains power but that would bypass the safety factor.
