Toshiba 328L67U 1 Green, & 1 Red small Vertical Lines

Hi, I don't have the TV in my possession, it's a Toshiba #328L67U, just asking question for brother-in-law. He turns the tv on, and picture is great, just has a narrow vertical green line about 1/3 from left of screen, and a narrow vertical red line about 1/3 from the right side of screen. After the tv is on for an hour or hour and half, both lines disappear and everything is fine until the next time he turns it on (cold start up) again,,,,,,then repeats the same way. Could this be a T-Con ribbon connection-alignment problem,,,,,,,,,why would the lines go away the way they do without someone moving something? I know, probably could be a lot of things,,,,,,,,,,,but just asking. Thanks!

Come on guys, give me a break here, I know I'm not giving you much info, but tell me what you think. Do you think this tv can be fixed economically, or do you think the screen itself is beyond repair? Is it possible that a cold or cracked solder joint could possibly cause this screen to "clear itself" up after it has been on for an hour or so and heats up?

I would not have used an icon like "wtf", if it hadn't been readily available!

have him try putting palm on front top of frame where line is and tap the back lightly, if that don't work tap a little harder, let us know if it works.

Yes it could be the lvds cable between the main and the tcon. There is usually a lot of heat in that area and as it heats up the connection may improve.

Things to try . when the set is cold heat the cable connector gently with a hair drier and see if the lines disappear.

Try just gently moving the cables on the tcon.

Remove the cable and clean the connectors using IPA then reseat.

Sadly it could be the permanent connection to the panel which could get worse with time
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Thanks for the replys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the reason I don't have the set is because it is football season and he is still using it. I didn't want to "tear into it" and leave him with no television to watch the games. We will try what you said and see what happens! Thanks again.

            Probably a bad LCD panel.

Well guys, we tried all the banging, and twisting, and tapping that we could to see if something might be loose or a connection moving, without tearing the set apart, and nothing we did affected the two lines on the screen. He decided that he'll watch it, as it is, until it goes out more completely, and then have it torn apart. Thanks for the suggestions!

Samsung LA46A950 aka. LN46A950 - intermittent vertical green lines / distortions
                by 265chemic
                Hi All,

I have a Samsung LA46A950 that intermittently was displaying issues with evenly spaced vertical green lines only on dark / black areas - this has progressed to more often and blue lines sometimes, as well as a little image distortion.

My initial suspicion was the T-CON board, which I took out and cleaned but the issue persists. A heat gun on all of the control boards makes no noticeable change. Ive also reseated the T-CON to panel ribbons (4 of them) and moving them while the panel is on doesn't seem to change the issue.

                by gpo23
                Hello,

                i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                Thank you for your help

                Samsung P2770H vertical green lines
                by wkx
I have a Samsung P2770H monitor, on which I replaced the main board because it has an issue that it would restart itself every X minutes, that resolved that issue.

Now, a few months later I turn the pc on and find 3 1px vertical green lines on the monitor, the lines wont show up on a screenshot. Does the same with dvi or hdmi.

I opened it up and made sure the panel connection to the board wasn't loose and the flat cable looks ok. Pressing the connectors while the monitor is on sometimes changes the line colors from green to blue or yellow, but the lines are always...
