umc 32'' led tv RGB test cycle?

    Hi

I've just been given a umc led tv model number 32/188g-gb-5b-tcu-uk which is stuck in what I believe to be the RGB test cycle - when you turn it on it rolls from one colour to another i.e red screen, blue screen, green screen etc.

Ive been told that there is a code that I need to enter from the remote, would anybody have it or the procedure to return it to normal tv?

    thanks in advance

thanks I turned the tv on and as it flashed I pressed 2580 still the same. Is there something else in the procedure that I have missed (ive tried 1461,4725) thanks

Sometimes you will need to try MENU 2580, or hold INPUT/MENU on the TV.

thanks but didn't work. I haven't got input on my tv or remote. Tried various of button combinations before entering 2580 just didn't want to know

In which case try SOURCE or AV... the button used typically to bring up the menu of available inputs: HDMI, AV, SCART, etc...

tried source (from tv and remote) and av then code no luck . suppose I will have to get a main board or( the eprom)

              thanks

(also tried volume buttons with and without menu channel up/down buttons etc)

Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.
                by nono34
                Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?
                by chth96
                Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

test active pfc power with lamp test
                by khelane
                Hello
I have a big problem and that is that in some cases when repairing active pfc power supplies I cannot work with a test lamp. I can only get help with 5 volts standby and for starting and starting I have to work without a lamp and this way there is a possibility of parts exploding and other parts being added.
Sometimes with a multimeter test the problems can be reduced to some extent, but I had several cases that had to be tested on and online and recently two varistors exploded. They had terrible resistance because the power supplies were over 800 watts.
                Is there a way...

Mats / mods: detected and repaired GPU fault. Cant seem to test after!
                by chronic519
                Hello.

GPU came in, green lines. Spent lots of time using to get the Mats / mods drive working (found on youtube).
Found issue with a RAM block
                Replaced, green lines gone.
Trying to test again, assuming getting the false positive. Originally had over 1K on a single bank. Now getting tosses low between banks.
Used a good card to test and same results low errors 32+.

I am just search for some form of command to do a full test on the GPU.
I just ran the mats command with my good GPU and passed after roughly 40 min.
                The repaired one, ran...

Asus Z97-a power cycle, no boot no cpu voltage
                by meraklinetx
Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
