White Vertical Bar / Line on left side of LED Smart Samsung un55b8000xfxza

Hey folks Ive been searching and searching for an answer and I'm scratching my head bald from this tv. Ill run you through of what condition I got this tv in

1. Plugged the TV in and it powered up with a white screen / menu / everything

2. Also had a White line on the left of the screen

3. Did some troubleshooting / research and found out a couple of the diodes or transistors were shorted out on the T-con LJ94-02826H

4. Purchased a new T-con (LJ94-02826K) for a for a slightly different model UN55B8500XFXZA (but everything lined up fine)

5. New T-con fixed the color issue and can now see everything great

6. Did not however fix the dreadful white line / bar on the left of the screen

My question is, what should I try next?
Im 96% positive that its not the panel itself that is broken and was thinking it was the VDSL, but it doesn't have any signs of damage nor does it distort the picture at all when I push / pull / wiggle it around.
Any suggestions?

Here are some pics of what Im working with here
1st pic is the symptomatic screen, then the model number, then the OLD broken T-con, then just some pictures of the guts. Tried to be as detailed as possible to avoid questions haha Thank you!

To me, it is almost certainly a bad panel. I'd like to be proven wrong, but it is very common on Samsung LCD&LED-LCD TVs.

Thanks Tom , I just cant put it back on the curbside just yet! I havent lost faith in it haha

Is there anything else that it could possible be? And could using a different T-con be the problem at all or are they pretty much universal?

I'm with Tom. Unfortunately a different Tcon may be just a shot in the dark. I have run into several of these symptoms just like yours. Regardless of make, a fixed line like that has always meant a bad panel. Which, by now, most realize is the kiss of death and not worth saving!!

However, bright side.......sounds like you have some good known working boards in that set that are sellable!! PS,.Tcon, etc.....

DanDado I guess it's a loss cause haha oh well at least I know for next time. It was definitely a project that taught me a lot about working on tv's but I guess I'll chuck her to the curb after I part it out :'( I'll be sure to beat it like a red headed step child for one last hope it may fix itself haha thanks guys for all your help !

Found the problem with the white bars, I'm assuming I would be able to purchase a new one and swap it out? What is this even called??

Nope, that part is bonded to the panel. How would you replace it? Very common for water to damage LED-backlit LCD TVs.

That part is called the address Buffer. It USED to be impossible to replace but, Now we have found Z Axis Dual sided Tape from Adafruit.com. (This adhesive tape allows voltage and signals ONLY to go through it and NOT across it) If that makes any sense to you (I agree that it is very confusing) We have had a 60% success using the tape

Just wanted to add our 2 cents (sense)

Well your chatting BS there because you can rebond the ribbon back to the tab board but you cant rebond it to the panel at all ! The traces that go to each address line are way too small.

Not to mention alignment. You're talking about getting it aligned within about 50um or so. That's 0.05mm or 2/1000 inches!

Plus the tape costs a small fortune, lasts only 3 months and you gotta keep it in the freezer.

Where you gonna get a new address-tab to replace that rotted out one?
