Samsung QN65Q80AAFXZC QLED TV has a white vertical Bar

Hi all Happy Holidays! Was just wondering if you think this white vertical bar would be fixable. Maybe bad TCon or ribbon cable? Contemplating trading a 50 inch Hisense 4K Roku for the Samsung but might get burned lol. The Samsung is model QN65Q80AAFXZC QLED TV has a white vertical Bar. Any thought appreciated. Thanks.

I think she's dead. I'd be curious what others say but looks like panel short. Maybe something on buffer boards shorted?

Of course wait for another opinion

I don't actually have the tv ... I got an offer to trade a working tv for the Samsung with the vertical line. Just wanted to get some expert input from here. Yes I was thinking along the lines of what EazyBone says ... worst case scenario bad panel .. than I am out a good tv that I will have traded for the bad tv. And Diah is right too would be nice to actually see inside before doing a trade, but doubt the trader would go through that. So maybe is better to not take the risk and just forget the negotiation. Than again could be easy fix lol .. Ughhh hate these kind of choices. Thanks for the input everone.

Thanks for your input Diah, Davi.p.. if I understand correctly your advice is that you would not bother with this Samsung. I will take your advice ☺

sorry, "not the best trade" i had to say.. some liquid got into the screen, and caused corrosion, i know works inside there takes very long and are not far relaxant, the biggest problem is the size of the beast..

Samsung 4K LCD white vertical banding in center
                  by iampivot
I'm troubleshooting a Samsung LS28D590DS 28" 4K monitor which has white vertical banding in the center of the LCD panel. The image looks like it's distorted slightly as well in the middle. Am wondering if this could be caused by the panel, t-con board or the main board?

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

Samsung QLED GQ50Q67TGU turns on and off
                  by Batata
                  Hello everybody,

my TV has a problem. It keeps turning on and off. The speakers are still working, and I hooked up the TV to my PC, and it recognizes it as a Samsung device. I am able to get a stable backlight when I disconnect the cable(I believe it is called the LVDS cable) that connects the left lower board (which is connected to the "main board") and the right lower board. I have tried a taping method I saw on YouTube, where the CLK cables are taped off. In fact, I proceeded to figure out which pin I have to tape off in order to get a stable backlight. It doesn't matter...
