Picked up this Daytek 42 inch tv .Can not find little or no info on this tv.Not sure who makes this .Picture is perfect. Sound goes up and down by itself. It is not a Remote problem. I did not get a remote with it.Was reading and someone suggested the manual panel on the side being stuck. I unplugged it and it does the same thing.Volume goes to 100% with volume bar on the bottom of screen on at all times.

Re: Daytek 42DKf3 Volume at 100%
Check for bad caps but it's probably a bad mainboard. See if there is a reset procedure before replacing it though.Last edited by hardwareguy; 11-24-2014, 06:43 PM. -
Re: Daytek 42DKf3 Volume at 100%
This problem is almost always the switches. Since it's not the switches in your case, it's the circuit that controls the switches. Inspect the switch panel connector on the mainboard for corrosion and the like.
Do you have a multimeter?Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.Comment

Before you do that, try cleaning the buttons/switches/touchpad with isopropyl alcohol. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Daytek 42DKf3 Volume at 100%
could the board with the remote sensor on the tv itself be faulty? have you tried disconnecting that. Pictures of each of the boards in your set may help us reconise them and may have saw the fault before.I think from reading various posts the tv is made by daewoo group.Last edited by vinceroger69; 12-21-2014, 05:33 AM.Comment

by cstoutHello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.
The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.
I can't find any schematics... -
by karthurOn this Vizio D65x, the volume will change on its own. I don't mean like during commercials where the volume will increase. I mean its like the (+) volume button on the remote is pressed and the actual volume dialog is displayed on the screen going up. It will do this, then the volume may start going down. It might go all the way to "0"or it might stop at a different number, then start going back up. The whole time its doing this, the volume dialog is shown on the screen.
It wont do it until it has been "ON" for 20 or 30 minutes, so it does seem to be heat related.... -
by crackedprintI have a strange fault on a Sony amplifier. The volume control varies the display from MIN, then 1 up to 30 and then MAX as expected. At MIN there is no sound. However, at 1 it is quite loud and increasing above 1 does not change the sound level.
I have tried a Cold Reset as per the service manual.
I have looked at the I2C clock and data to volume control chip IC501 (BD3499FV). Data is only sent to IC501 when the volume is set to MIN or 1. At any other setting no data is sent to IC501.
I have looked all the way through the service manual and tried many online...-

by BigOofHi,
I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....-

by jesteraceHi,
I have this TV a small 20 inch that works perfectly except for the IR has stopped. I have confirmed that the remote control is fine and tried an alternative and even tried with IR blaster from phone. Remote 100% ok.
Tried installing latest firmware but no change.
TV won't respond to remote at all, not even to bring it out of standby. I have to use the touch sensitive front panel to operate, at which point TV is usable albeit with no remote.
Tried replacing the IR receiver diode/bulb on front panel and no change so put the old one back. After tracing... - Loading...
