I've managed to test all the rest and they work. Also when I test the connector books from the green side strips I get a beep from the meter but it does show a number other than one.
Sorry if that sounds odd but I'm very new to this.Comment

Hey all, an update, I've repaired all the burnt out led s and now can test each and it will light up, but still when I power on the to the leds won't come on.

I believe so, I use the meter on the trace before and after the stacked led and it lights up. I've done the mod on all connector blocks but I'm a complete noobs when it comes to checking boards. I would assume the power board is working because when I have the screen connected I can see the menu options clearly. I tried another inverter board but still nothing ( the blue board I posted a picture of)Comment

If you had bad led's I would say that is still the problem. Since I assume you are checking them one by one you really don't know if whole strip is lighting or not. I have a tester. I just repaired led's last night. I desolder and replace individually. I checked and they light up individually but when I checked whole string it did not light. So for me if you cannot light whole string you do not know for sure if all going to work.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

How many strings of LED being used in this panel?
All connected as ONE long string?
Can I see the pictures of the LED connector with the connector in place and also the bottom side of the board where the LED connector is?Never stop learning

Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a Toshiba 37AV500A Regza TV.
The issue:
TV was working picture and sound went out. Green stand by light stayed on, It will respond to the power button being pressed (goes in and out of standby)
The TV will very intermittently work for around 40 mins then stop. This doesn't seem to matter if its hot/cold unplugged for a while etc.
I checked the PSU voltages and everything looked good.
No bulging caps or signs of heat.
24v aud = 24.41v
12v = 11.98v
5v = 5.062
p_o/f = Goes high... -
Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
Hi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...
