So it is the new PFC IC that is bad! I wonder if it is faked IC.
I am so glad you still the old one to put in, thanks for not giving up.

Yes sir. seems that way. One or both of the other 2 may have actually been bad as things changed when I originally replaced all 3, but I wasn't expecting that to happen. Thanks for all your help.

Lol you beat me to it. I was just about to post that when I was working on mine. It originally had the relay clicking problem and I replaced the three ic's and that solved the relay issue but led me to other issues which is irrelevant in your situation. Congrats on sticking to it. What I would do is leave the tv hooked up and on for a good 4-5 hours straight to make sure no issues. Cause when I fixed mine originally. I tested it and it blew one of the ic's after being on for a hour or two cause these three especially the q880 I believe gets hot.

I let board run overnight and all is well. Shut it down and will wait for resistor to arrive tomorrow I hope and replace board in TV and see what happens.

im going to reccomend changing these parts 1 at a time!!! I too recd 3 parts from ebay and changed all 3 and ended up with a dead PFC circuit
the SRX2039 I suspect is a chineese knock off and luckily my original was good!!
so after 4 hours or pulling my hair out the STRW was the original problem which did come in the kit was the original problem but becuase i put in a crap SRX I went nuts trying to figure what I did!!

Replace 1 at a time and if the symptom gets worse STOP!!! put the old part back!! ARGGHHH

Re: Toshiba 42HL196 - Clicking relay, Power Board

Got resistor, all 200 of them. Took me 3 to get one on there. Removed all attached resistors and wires from the board and reassembled the board back in the TV. I have no signal to input other than a PC, but it has an image as you can see!!!! Yes, I know it is upside down, but I have no stand so it is very versatile. Thanks again to all and if audio and other inputs function correctly, I will have to find somethng else to work on. Bye for now.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Mitsubishi CNC switching power supply board dead / relay board bad diode failure
                    by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
                    by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...
