samsung UE32F5000AK led no backlight


Hello I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice I have a Samsung UE32F5000AK when I turn it on the screen stays blank. I can hear the TV working fine and when I hold a bright torch I can see a picture so I think it's the backlight gone. Can anyone advise me how to fix this as I bought another power board and that didn't fix my backlight?

It will be an open circuit LED in the backlight array, the TV panel needs to come apart to fix this.

many thanks for very quick reply so does that mean one of the leds has gone and I have to track down which one . Don't mind taking it apart again had the led strips out the other day wanted to see what voltage they where because I wondered if I could send that voltage through each strip to check if they were blown

You can make 3VDC from two AA batteries and put 100 Ohms resistor in series with the positive to limit the through the LED, then you can test each LED on the strip one at a time to find out which one is bad, the Anode is positive, Cathode is negative.

Many thanks found two blown leds jumped that strip to see if works and came on. so now just got to find where to get some spares in UK. Many thanks for you knowledge
