I have a Panasonic plasma tv - model # TC-P55ST60. I bought it from Sears in May 2013. A few days ago it shut down suddenly with the power light flashing 7 times in sequence. I have changed the P, SC and SS boards (bought from ShopJimmys) with no success. Would appreciate any suggestions/assistance with trying to trouble shoot the problem and arriving at a solution

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST60. 7 flashes
Could be bad SU/SD boards. Can you supply pictures of the parts inside the set and one with the whole back cover off? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

tom66,
Thanks for your quick and helpful response. Both boards are in fact on order and I hope to receive and have them installed in a few days. If this does not prove to be the solution, I will forward the photos suggested .In any event, I will be in touch again a.s.a.p. Thank you again!Comment

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST60. 7 flashes
Er... are you aware of the possiblity of testing them? "Could be" is not a DEFINITE...!
Also you can get bad SU/SD which can DAMAGE the SC board. So it is important to know if they are all in working order. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST60. 7 flashes
You could have pulled off the su and sd boards first and tested the sc board with a jumper. I have seen su and sd board's damage the sc. As.a matter of fact I just repaired a 65 inch the same way.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

by AquaMan UaHello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...2 Photos

I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)
I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen. The set appeared to be working normally, but it shut down after about 15 seconds,... -

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπ€?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting π.

by PaftMy Panasonic Viera TX-P42S21B 42" 1080p HD Plasma developed a fault a few days ago.
It looks like it's going to come on, makes that click sound but then goes off. Doesn't turn on via remote.
So, obviously it's likely one or more of the components/boards. I donβt see any results for my model or a service manual anywhere, but Iβve briefly looked into it with similar models and apparently it is the SC and or SM board(s.)
How accurate are the fault blink codes? I donβt see any glaringly obvious damage on the SC/SM boards but the power supply has some markings.... - Loading...
