these line come and go, just found out, but still waiting for model number,

Loose contact? When its cold these lines show and when it gets warm/hot they dissapear?

ok, got it, PS50B451B2W, i'll let you know when ive got it open and had a look

had the back off, checked and reseated the ribbon cables, just in case, but still the same.
the t-con has a led flashing and is a stable flash,
flash on, then off for a second, then flash on again, is this correct?
ive ordered another t-con anyway, i should have it buy the end of the week

This is OK.

You could rule the T-con in or out by a quick test.

On the 4 pin connector, jumper pins 3 & 4.

Unplug LVDS, when you plug TV in it should jump straight to cycling test patterns.

If test patterns are bad = definitely control board
If they are not = more likely main board than control board

yep, tryed that TOM, and still the same lines on screen while running test.
so defo t-con at fault

got the t-con today and fitted, think its dead, the led flashes the same but tv will not prime or show pic ?
is there somethink i have to do, to marry the t-con to the av board ?
im confused.

double check your connections, sometimes a misaligned ribbon cable will cause issues!

ok, found out what the problem is, stupid mistake, all part and pcb numbers match, but turns out it;s for the 42" model, and it has a different chip.
theres a lesson to learn.

The LJ41-xxxxxx number is the board pattern number, the part number is all ways the
LJ92-xxxxx number and the only one to go by to be sure of getting the right board for you set Flocko

replaced t-con.
tv now up and running, thanks guys,
now on to my next one LG 50PS3000
