LNS4051 samsung 40 inch lcd tv with screen defect / issue

hi

i got this samsung lcd tv for 10.00...it powers on ok even though seller said it wouldnt power on all the time.since i have had it ..it powers on all the time....model LNS4051

..this post though is about the lcd screen..

has a slight screen issue / defect

on lower section it has some blueish distortions / defects.

does anyone know what this is?? what causes it??

can it be repaired ?

its not horrible the tv is definitely still watchable...just curious what the issue is since i have never seen it before

Looks like a bad panel to me mate I had one with exactly the same symptoms

hen pull the panel out and use the backlight as a lighting fixture! that's what i did.

thanks...it still is watchable good pic..so ill see if it gets worse or stays as is....i make broken lcd monitors into light fixtures...but this tv is worth way more as parts tv then using it in place of a 10.00 light fixtue lol....if it gets worse i can sell the ps and main for a good amount of money ........i only watch tv 30min day....not big issue for me...and neer watch movies....no time .....i have worked 12hrs day 290 straight days and 665 out of past 666 days 12hrs

I know what you mean. My TV is from 2010 and it has 16hrs on it.
