    Digitrex CTF4071A - Screen/Backlight problem.

    Hi guys,
Newbie here trying self teach the ways of the T.V engineer.

I dont know if this is in the right place to put this thread so i apologize if it is wrong.

As you can see from the photos i have attached. The tv comes on fine, but there is only part of the screen visible (the blue bits) and the rest is dark, i can see the channel name (HDMI 1) drifting around the screen so i know its showing but i can work out whats wrong.

    Any ideas?

    Thnaks

Possible T-Con fault but also the panel itself suspect.....

Pictures of the set internally could help....

Check in a dark room if the whole panel lights up (backlight)
I'd say bad panel myself, but hard to be sure.

Left side does not light up. But shining a torch on the screen shows that the screen is working as i can see the channel number floating around.

            Backlight problem then.

Check that you have a 24V supply to the backlight board when the set is running.....

there should be some marking on the plugs sockets of either the PSU or the Backlight boards. You'll find there are several wires in parallel, one set is the ground, the other set the 24V There'll be one or two more, for BL-On and in some cases BL-Cont. or BL-Dim

Its the parallel wires we are looking at, Voltage between those and chassis. Just check along the plug with meter--you'll find 'em....

Ok. So i checked the 24v and it reads fine, although the 24v/gnd goes to the t-con board? also found out there is no sound, connected the PS3 to the tv to show exactly how much screen was missing, i have attached pics.

So like i said, no sound. Dont know if thats the speakers or the board. but regarding the screen/picture/backlight, could it be the Inverter?

Would really like to get this tv up and running.

                    Thanks guys.

Also, it has no reference to BL-On - BL-Cont or BL-Dim anywhere :/
im thinking this may be an awkward set

I have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?

                        LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
                        by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                        Then each time...

                        HP Probook 450 G8 Boardview+Schematics - screen backlight issue
                        by trepachka
I am just wondering if anyone has boardview+schematics for HP Probook 450 G8.

Computer is missing screen backlight. The backlight fuse must be kaput. I know the fuse is located on the motherboard because we tried a different working screen and it, too is missing backlight.

Perhaps, if the boardview+schematics are not available, someone can point out where the screen backlight fuse is located. Thanks.

                        Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...
