I received a LG 50PC3D plasma where the whole picture flashes white & grey. When I have a DVD player hooked up I do hear sound but have the same flashes on all inputs. Thank you for any info you can give.

Do you hear a faint ticking sound coming from either the left or right of the back of the TV? -
Re: LG 50PC3D Screen Flashes White & Grey
Usually not necessary to repair buffers on these unless your TV shows other faults like vertical bar. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 50PC3D Screen Flashes White & Grey
You may find a used one for slightly less but that repair service isn't a bad price and they'll test the buffers for you as well. You do not necessarily need to replace the buffers as a failed sustain rarely has any adverse affect on the buffers in this model.

Re: LG 50PC3D Screen Flashes White & Grey
I've used Coppel's TV to repair a Ysus when I first started repairing TVs for a hobby.
It costs more, but you get a guaranteed working board and fast turn around.
You can replace the IPMs on the boards yourself, but unless you have some fairly
good soldering skills and the proper equipment, it would be best to get it repaired
by folks that have experience doing it.Comment

You guys are the best! If you were close... I'd buy you a beer/malt.
It looks a little complicated on how to take out the ysustain & buffer boards.. I should be able to figure it out. Coppel TV said to send the buffers also.Comment

Re: LG 50PC3D Screen Flashes White & Grey
Having done many of this V7 and X3 series, I usually find its the Z-SUS IPM that gives this fault and not the Y-SUS one.....TELEFIX

Just sayin'.....
Still, IF its not your Y thats gone, you can always swap over the IPM's, they are same type on both boards,-- YPPD-J018CTELEFIX

No, the Y-sustain can still be bad even if the fuse is good. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by harpTo ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment... -
by JunkmanJimboSamsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
Please help. Thanks in advance! -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by EazyBoneAnother TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... -
