LG 42LD650 won't turn on, with standby blue led on

    Dear all,

I have got a LG 42LD650 TV that refuses to turn on when power button is pressed on the TV. I took out the power board (EAX61131701/11) that is with inverters on it (see pictures). I connected the power board to the main, connected one of the 3.5V pins to the Power_On pin, and tested the voltage outputs of pins 12V and 20V. The DMM shows readings close to the values.

What should I do next to troubleshoot the TV?

    Thanks in advance!

      Dear bil99,

I don't see any back light turning on.
I also think that the blue led light is still there even though the power on button is pressed.
I will take some more photos when back home, and try to post over weekend

      Thanks

Re: LG 42LD650 won't turn on, with standby red led on

I checked again, the red standby light is on when connected to main power supply. When the power button on the TV is pressed, the red standby light becomes dimmer for about 2 seconds, then restores back to the normal state.
It seems that the TV is trying to start, but fail to do so

Attached pictures on the back of TV, the power board and logic board with tcon
        I can't find a separate tcon board

        Thanks in advance

would probably be better to start a new thread storm, this one seems to have died 4 months ago, good luck.

On the rear of the power supply board/ secondary side there's two ic's a 28 pin and a 6 pin. Unsolder and remove the 6 pin ic and try the supply again if it starts and runs the ic is shorted. I have run the sets without it and no adverse affects.
                Good luck finding one.
                Cheers

Harman Kardon AVR 171S - standby led lights up, does not turn on
                  by madsox
                  Greetings!

Thank you in advance for your understanding, I am writing to you through a translator.

A Harman Kardon AVR171S amplifier was given.

The history of the machine is as follows:
It was faulty when I bought it, I want to fix it.
I replaced the HDMI switch and one of the DAC ICs in it.
After that it worked without a problem.

I watched a movie using the amplifier, and at the end the amplifier got really hot.
The cooling was faulty, I will fix this later.
I switched it to standby mode, waited for...

Samsung NP750QFG-KA3DE does not turn on , Blue LED flashes 3 times
                  by Egidio85
                  Hi everyone, I have a Samsung NP750QFG-KA3DE , MainBoard VESTA3-15 BA92-24515A

the battery is charged. pressing the power button the blue LED flashes 3 times and then stays blue. then the sequence repeats.
                  the fan does not start.

I noticed that I have no power on the processor and it does not heat up. could it depend on the bios?

any advice on what to check?

PS5 Slim EDM-040 Only turn on 1 Sec, Blue light then immediate off.
                  by dionzarek
Hello everyone, I am new to this PS5 troubleshooting, I need help on diagnosing the problem. My PS5 Slim board EDM-040 that beep and only shows blue light then immediately turn off.

I've checked the PSU its normal 12V. I've checked all the capacitors its all good no shorts, but there are 2 caps shorted, I think its near the SSD. You can look at the image attachment.

When tested it only shows 0.003 while other caps show 0.4 to 1. WHen in continuity mode those 2 caps goes beep/shorted.

Any help to where should I check on or suggestion would be very appreciated....
