    LG 32LD350-UB no picture

    Service Code: 32LD350-UB.CUSWLHO

I got this TV for free after it had died during an electrical storm. I don't have all the details but lots of people in the neighborhood had their TVs and other electronics die at the same time. When I first got it it would not turn on at all. I tried replacing the power board which made no difference. I then replaced the main board and the TV came to life, albeit without any video on the screen. The audio works fine, backlight comes on, buttons work, but there is nothing on the screen, not even menus. I assumed the culprit was the T-CON board since it behaved exactly the same with it unplugged, but replacing the T-CON board made no difference. I have tried reseating all the relevant cables to no avail. I have checked the cables for continuity and not found anything wrong. I have checked D1, D2, and US2 on the T-CON board and they all show voltage (I forget the exact readings, two of them were 3.3 I believe). Also there is one other board at the top of the screen that I cannot identify or see how to remove. Any help, advice, or diagnostic suggestions would be most appreciated.

It looks like access to that board is by removing the front bezel (plastic piece). Look at the two metal tabs on that top section and see if they are able to release it.

Did the LED2 on the T-CON board even flash on? What DC Voltage do you have on F1 fuse?
That big long PC board is where the tab from the LCD panel flex PCBs are tab bonded to.
What Voltage do you get at the test point VCC2 (2Volt) by the US2 regulator IC, test point VDD, VGH, VCC?

        VCC2 1.85V
        VCC 3.3V
        VGH 2.5mV
        VDD .5mV
        F1 9.5V

It's early and I didn't get much sleep so I'll double check the values later. As for the LED2, no I haven't seen it come on, but it's placement is very curious. There's a hole in the PCB through which the LED peeks out the other side, and there's also a hole in the metal backplate directly behind the LED which lets the backlight shine through the LED, making the LED appear lit up.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...

          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
          by Fly_Among_Stars
          Hi,
          I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
          Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...
