      I am not sure. The previous owner bought these cards and he said they didn't work. I don't really know what he did. But I can't imagine he returned the wrong card and still he got his money back.

        i suggest a service manual search to try to get information on correct part numbers of the boards..

          Unfortunately, the service manual is no help. https://research.encompass.com/SON/rr/XR55A80J.pdf
          Looking at SJ, it lists the correct main board (A5026207A) matching mine, but for TCON, they list 6380E while the one in my set is 6380F - But I'm not sure if this is a later model or if 6380E is the only compatible (all other numbers on the TCON - LE550PQL(HP)(A4), 6870C-0848C ... match)

            I took a look at shop jimmy, for the main board sticker there are more letters than what you write on an example picture, and also so in the SJ item page title..

                  Sony XR-55X90J 5 blinks
                  by matwan
                  Hello,

                  I have problem with SONY 55X90J. After several check status is as below;
                  1. Running power board as stand alone:

                  TCON_12V =~ 12.6V
                  EVDD V On Max 24V= 19V.

                  2.
                  Running power board with TCON as stand alone:

                  Effect as below, attched.

                  3. When bottom LVDS cable is disconnected no blinks, but of course no TCON 12V and EVDD.
                  "I'm almost sure it's a defective panel, but maybe someone has encountered a similar issue on their screen.

                  Best regards....

                  Sony XR-77A80K 5 Red Blinks Troubleshooting
                  by Dogindelusion
                  Hi everyone! I am a new member and am new to electronics repair. I have a background in electrical engineering, but little experience in electronics.

                  I have a Sony XR-77A80K which will not turn on and has 5 blinking red lights in the stand-by light. I had previously done a forced factory reset, which removed the error code, and the TV regained functionality for a few weeks. I repeated the factory reset and again regained functionality. This happened a few times until I so I had to begin troubleshooting the error.

                  Observations:
                  1) I noticed I was not getting...

                  Sony XBR-75X940E intermittent 6 blinks error code
                  by GoodCapDude
                  Hi everyone. First post on Badcaps!

                  I am trying to fix a Sony 940E from 2017 that either starts normally (and works perfectly until turned off) or goes straight to the 6 blinks error code without showing anything on the screen. It is frustrating to know that it can still work perfectly but is barely usable because of the difficulty starting it up. I am willing to try to short the BL_ERR but I would like to avoid that if possible. Does anyone have a view on this? Thanks a lot....

                  Sony OLED XBR-65A8G 4 flashes
                  by Glaval
                  Hello, my Aunt recently gave me her broken Sony XBR-65A8G OLED after getting a replacement. It had a 4x led flash error, a replacement T-con didn't fix the error but with helpful info from this forum I found one of the smd ceramic caps on the panel pcb (C575/C378) on a 24v line was shorted to ground. I removed that cap and the tv turned on without error. It still had a black screen with the original t-con back in it, once I put the replacement t-con in it finally had a picture. After doing a panel refresh it had a very good picture but with a few vertical lines for some scenes. For owners with...
