You mean a short in the panel itself, or on a capacitor at the small board on the underside of the panel?

Well you can check those boards over, I think you mean the long thin buffer boards but sure it could be in the panel itself.

i can check the caps on the buffer board, will do that again (checked only AVDD line).
But how can i check for other shorts on the buffer board?
Where would they usually be? On "data" lines against ground?

you can chek for bad diodes

There was no short that i could meassure. Or i didn´t find it.
If i tape one specific pin of the 12 datalines in the picture, i have a picture on the TV.
Problem is, it is flickering if there is motion.
So that is no solution.

arr there any chips and which on the panel strip boards?

There where some, some ICs, and 2 that looked like diode/resistor arrays. I checked the arrays for short against ground, had none.
Could not identify where the line that i taped go to. I am almost shure the line do not go directly to an IC.
Since this TV is so big i would have problems to change any chips on the panel strip board anyway.

Is everybody sure that a change of the TCON board would not help in this case?

So i camnot suggest a thing because i have no solution ready, the fact that the masked line do not go to those chip doesn't matter for me, i prefer not to explain why, i surely registered a case where the diode packs produced the intermittent fault at the screen.. i have recall of a recent discussion here.. bye.
