sorry testing ps at this point is beyond my skills...and most people aaid replace main so i did....going to buy a ps today......

there is obviously something else going on and just having 3.3 standby voltage alone does not mean standby light wqill come on....wqhich everyone said it should come on....sony proved everyone wrong lol

thanks budm....update.....it was bad ps...main ok.....i got a ps for 39.99:free ship ebay...great price....and tv works great now.....fyi....just getting 3v standby only does not mean standby light on.....i have proven that.....also i have proven it was only 1 bad board not 2.....i learned a lot from this......and learned a lot of tv guys dont know anymore than me lol.........not u budm.....u were great.....

retract....i shouldnt say a lot of tvs guys dont know more than me..since im just a self taught very novice...but it seemed like a lot of tv guys gave me about 5 diff reasons why tv was not powering on and all were wrong..........tv repair is not easy especially with all the new technology...not so simple....and sony seems to be a big pain in the butt..........they dont even put part # on their parts lol...........anyways thanks budm for all your help...tv is not fixed for a economical 40.00 and hours and hours of troubleshooting

bottom line is how can 5 different tv "experts" give me 5 different answers

that tells me most of them arent tv "experts"

it gets frustrating when people pretend to be "experts" is all im saying

i appreciate all the help from the actual experts though....like bud m
