    Sony Bravia kdl-32bx300 large white on screen.

    I recently received a Sony bravia kdl-32bx300 with a large white spot on the screen.The owner said that whenever the television is powered on the spot
    gets larger.

      Odd one. Well, it's almost certainly a bad panel. Possibly some kind of heat or water damage.

          I also believe that this is a bad panel,because many persons have been complaining about the Sony Bravia with these problems.

              Weird, looks like the various layers of the LCD are de-laminating.

                  Very strange indeed. I just had a few of these that I parted out. You probably have around $125 worth of them in there. At least from my recent experience here in the states.

                      SONY BRAVIA XBR-55A8H - White horizontal lines / red LED flashes four times

                      This "free from a friend who was going to recycle it" SONY BRAVIA XBR-55A8H arrived with the bottom center RED LED repeating a four flash pattern. It was treated with kid gloves and was reported to have "just gone dead" and the OLED panel has no dents in the metal frame or cracks.

                      Thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1091829 helped in proceeding as follows:
                      1) Unplugged, then plugged set in while holding the remote VOL- and Power to factory reset.

                      2) Waited 30 seconds, then pressed remote Power button and "Select language"...

                      Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on

                      I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
                      I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
                      I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
                      The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
                      My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...

                      Sony KD-55X8509C white flashing/pulsing LED

                      I was asked to look at a Sony KD-55X8509C as it was not powering on, no lights.

                      On inspection, there was no physical issues.
                      I seated all cables and repowered the TV, then the LED light flashed Green / Amber.
                      - this seems to indicate repairing required, done by Firmware update.
                      so downloaded the latest Firmware from Sony website and wrote to 4Gb USB drive.
                      Inserted the drive and repowered the TV.
                      LED changed to white flashing/pulsing ... and it sat there for over an hour.

                      i was unsure what was happening so repowered the TV and now it just...
