Philips 50pfp5332d/37 Bad Capacitors and Blown Traces.

Just got this Philips plasma, said to have "turn on blue led light, but no picture". Thought -- Y-sustain and Y buffers. Plugged in the power cord, and saw a huge spark through the case and something blowing on the power supply. And Finally opened it up and here's what I found.

Well first thing I tested the Y-sustain and Buffers. Buffers ohm out good, no shorts on either one. Tested the obvious FETs on the sustain, and no dead shorts either! So the Y boards seem to be good in this case.

On to the power supply. No obvious burnt marking on the PSU at all... but there was a small burnt mark it left behind the panel where the main caps are. I desoldered both caps (450V 270uf) and sure enough both are bad and one is literally exploded from the bottom while burning the board. I also found one shorted diode next to those caps D8020.

After cleaning up the burnt, the traces are obviously damaged. To fix this I wanted to make sure, my question is, were traces connected together?

Well it looks like it - is it the neg side of a big cap so should be able to ohms test to the DC neg on the bridge rectifier
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
      by aidanmo
      Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
      • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
      • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
      • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

LG 47LB5DF blown power supply board
      by cmlewis89
      Hi folks,

I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...

Philips 32PFL4901/F8 BA4GF0F0102 2 Not getting standby led
      by alro7779
      Hello, guys!

The same 32" Philips TV I was having video issues, but now I don't have standby led at all. Someone here shared with me the schematic of the power supply, and checking the voltages, I see right after the resistor R604 I'm getting 1.6 v which is too low for enabling the Gate of the Q601 mosfet (the diagram says 4.2). On the R614 resistor I'm getting 181 V in and 117 V out, then through R603 I'm getting the same 117 V in and 59.9 V out, finally getting the latter voltage in the R604 BUT getting just 1.6 V out, which is the voltage that goes on to the Gate of the Q601...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
      by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?
