I found a cheap VIZIO VO42L FHDTV10A on craigslist for $50. The owner said the back-light went out and they just bought a newer TV. It powers up and in a few seconds the yellow VIZIO logo turns to white.
I did some research before I bought it to see what others had done and what kinds of parts were available. I was thinking I would just get a new Master/Slave Black-light Inverter kit and give it a shot but when I took things apart today I found a noticeably burned out component on the Master Inverter. (See attached picture with the Red arrow.)
Does this look like something I could fix or should I just look for a new Master?
I've done a little soldering but nothing like this before. I'd love to give it a shot if there was anyone here that could point me in the right direction for parts and maybe some advice.
Thanks!
